Medigap Companies

Written by Evens Stevenson

If you’re 65 years or older, then you know how confusing Medicare can be. Tons of terms and coverage limitations make no sense. While Medicare is an excellent government program that has helped millions of seniors get health care coverage that they wouldn’t be able to afford otherwise, there are some pitfalls of the program.

One of the biggest disadvantages of Medicare is that there are plenty of expenses that Medicare doesn’t pay for. Those coverage gaps can leave enrollees with massive health care bills that put a strain on their savings account. Luckily, there are several ways that you can protect yourself from those bills and ensure that you get the health coverage that you deserve.

The best way to offset those uncovered expenses is to purchase a Medigap plan. These policies are sold by private insurance companies, and they supplement traditional Medicare coverage by filling in some of the gaps that are left behind (hence the name “Medigap”).

When you’re shopping for additional coverage, there are several important factors to consider. The two most important choices that you will have to make are: which plan that you’re going to buy, and which company that you’re going to buy it from. There are hundreds of companies on the market that you can choose from, and all of them are going to have different rates and advantages that you will need to look at before you decide which one is best for you.

To help you out on your search, we have brought together a list of 10 of the best Medigap plans. Instead of you wasting hours and hours to call all of these companies, we did all of the dirty work for you. It’s important to note that this is a flexible list. Every Medicare enrollee is going to need different things, which means that these ten best might not be the ten best for you.
